Audition for us! DanceWorks New York City holds auditions every summer & winter looking for new talent to join our company.
Choreographer Auditions
Every
season, we hold open auditions for choreographers interested in
creating & teaching an original piece of work for the DanceWorks New York City Project. During the 17-week commitment, choreographers audition
dancers, lead weekly rehearsals, design lighting, choose costumes, and
assist with the overall stage production.
All interested choreographers should download our Choreographer Information Packet, which provides an overview of the program and the responsibilities of our DanceWorks New York City choreographers.
Dancer Auditions
Come out for our open call audition, held twice a year, as we search for new talent to join our company! During the jam-packed 8-hour day, dancers will watch the choreographer showcase, audition for dances, and register for the company.
Auditions are held in a group environment and dancers select which pieces from the rehearsal schedule they audition for. Depending on the style or rehearsal time, there is truly something for everyone!
