Brittany Nicole Fried graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 2013 with a degree in Secondary Math Education and a minor in Dance. During her tenure at Penn State, Brittany was actively involved with an on-campus, student-run tap dancing company, Tapestry Dance Company, as both a dancer and choreographer. Currently, Brittany is living and working as a 7th grade math teacher in Manhattan.
Brittany grew up dancing and competing at Carolyn’s Dancenter on Long Island, where she then worked as a dance teacher after college alongside those who taught her growing up. She is trained in all styles of dance including tap, jazz, pointe, hip-hop and contemporary. Eventually, Brittany found her true passion: tap dancing.
This is Brittany’s second season with DanceWorks New York City and first season as a choreographer. She loves showcasing her quirky personality and energy through her choreography. Brittany is excited for the upcoming season to start and is incredibly grateful to have found a welcoming community that shares her passion for dance.
