Fahja A. Simmons is the assistant director at Gina Marie’z Academy of Performing Arts, where he trains dancers of all ages and abilities in various styles of dance. Such as, jazz, musical theater, tumbling, ballet, and lyrical/contemporary.

Fahja has choreographed countless dances over the years, not only for Gina Marie’z but he has also been invited to choreograph at Dutchess Community College, where he began his training in 2009. His choreography has won many awards at local and regional talent competitions. Beyond choreographing, Fahja has performed in various productions such as, Fame The Musical, In The Heights, The Nutcracker and several other dance shows and musicals. Outside of teaching and choreographing, Fahja was also a featured dancer with a NYC based dance company, marked dance project. Marked dance project is a physically integrated dance company, a company that works with both disabled and non-disabled dancers.

Fahja is a passionate teacher, dancer, and choreographer from New York who lives to inspire and educate all audiences. He hopes that he can educate and spark passion into his audiences for years to come.
