Jayson is a 2009 graduate from SUNY Oneonta. It was during his time here that he discovered his love of dance and performing after a friend asked him to try out for an African routine she choreographed for the Terpsichorean Dance Company (TERPS). From there, Jayson was hooked and continued dancing in TERPS for a total of six semesters, three of which he participated as a choreographer. Jayson’s main style is hip hop; however, he has also danced in the styles of African, Broadway, Contemporary, Jazz, Modern, and Soca. This is Jayson’s eighth season with DanceWorks New York City and his seventh season choreographing for the company. In his free time, Jayson occasionally teaches dance classes, loves to draw, and enjoys cooking for his friends and family. Jayson is from Queens, NY and currently works for the NYC Department of Education.
