Julianne, born and raised on Long Island, developed a love for dance and movement at the young age of three while doing step aerobics alongside her mom in their living room. It was soon after that she found herself in more formal training at a local studio and competed in the styles of jazz, tap, lyrical and hip hop through the end of high school. It was also in high school that she participated in a nationally competitive kickline team, introducing her to NDA (National Dance Alliance) which she would travel around the country to teach, choreograph and lead dance camps for over the next seven years. In the off season, Julianne taught group fitness classes at Duke University (she fittingly started with step aerobics) and also performed and choreographed for their all-tap dance troupe, On Tap. After graduating from Duke in 2013 with a degree in statistics, she did the opposite of use that degree and interned at Disney World as a character performer through the end of the year. She now works as a research analyst for DIRECTV and loves running and doing all things DIY in her free time. This is her fifth season with DanceWorks New York City and her fourth as a choreographer!
