Kameron Porter is a dancer, choreographer from Atlanta, Georgia. Kameron received his training from Troy University where he double majored in Theatre and Dance. He is making his DanceWorks New York City debut this season and could not be more excited! Kam’s passion for choreography began his junior year with his work “Together We.” This powerful piece would go on to be the closing dance at the Alabama Dance Festival in 2016. That would not be the end of his powerful work. Kameron would then become a company member and choreographer for Patti Rutland Jazz. There “Together We” would be performed again by this incredible company. Kameron has since moved to New York City to further pursue his choreography dreams. He was recently given the great opportunity to perform with Dendy/Donovan Projects. Kameron’s work has freshly been the titular piece for Troy University’s Dance Department 10 Year Anniversary Show, naming the show itself “Together We.” Kameron dreams of being a Tony Award Winning choreographer and sees this opportunity as the next step in the best direction.
