Jes started choreographing back when she was in high school creating Hip Hop and Pom dances that her high school cheerleading team used in competitions all over the tri-state area. As she continued her education at SUNY Oneonta she joined the Terpsichorean Dance Company and realized her true passion was in dance. She danced with the company all 4 years co-choreographing 9 different Hip Hop and contemporary numbers. Jes would then serve as the president of the company from 2018-2020. Being president of the company sparked something new in Jes, leaving her with a hunger to not only continue choreographing but to continue building dance programs. She became the coach of the Carmel High School Varsity Dance Team with the hopes of reviving a dance team that had lost its momentum. Throughout the next three years of Jes running the program she tripled the teams size to over 30 dancers, performed at many large school and town events, put on a large showcase at the end of each regular season, and took competition teams to compete winning multiple awards every time.

Now Jes works for a fine arts charter school in Brooklyn NY running a fully Hip Hop dance program for their elementary students. She’s always hoped to be able to continue dancing after leaving college so having the opportunity to join DanceWorks is so exciting! Getting to co-choreograph with one of her long time close friends Nicole Crepeault is something the two always talked about doing and thanks to DanceWorks it’s finally a reality! Jes can’t wait to kick off this season and watch her dancers absolutely kill it!!!
