DanceWorks New York City holds auditions every summer & winter looking for new talent to join our dance company.

Choreographer Auditions

Every season, we hold open auditions for choreographers interested in creating & teaching an original piece of work for the DanceWorks New York City Project. During the season, choreographers audition dancers, lead weekly rehearsals, design lighting, choose costumes, and assist with the overall stage production.

All interested choreographers should download the Choreographer Information Packet, which provides an overview of the program and the responsibilities of a DanceWorks New York City choreographer.

Dancer Auditions

Open call Dancer Auditions are held twice a year as we search for new talent to join our dance company. Dancer auditions take place in a Workshop style format over one day divided by genre.

**If you are not available to attend Dancer Auditions in person, video auditions are accepted.

Auditions are held in a group environment and dancers select which pieces from the rehearsal schedule they would like to audition for. Depending on the style and rehearsal time, there is truly something for everyone!
