Joshua is a Brooklyn, NY native and owes his love for dance to the many dynamic cultures, both outside and within his family, that he was surrounded by growing up. He began performing dance in high school, fell in love with being on stage,  and subsequently sought out ways to continue dancing in college.

Joshua attended State University of New York (SUNY) College at Oneonta where he majored in psychology. Throughout his college career he was a member of the Terpischorean Dance Company which enabled him to continue performing with other students who were just as passionate about the world of dance as he is. He spent eight semesters with the company and choreographed eight pieces in genre’s such as Hip Hop, Soca, and Dancehall.

Currently, Joshua is in his fifth season of DanceWorks New York City after a seven year post-college dance hiatus (but who’s counting?) and is grateful beyond belief to have been given another chance to choreograph a piece for what’s shaping up to be an absolutely insane show! Let’s go Season 23!!!!!
