Lizz Henrich
Lizz Henrich’s passion for dance began at the age of three in the suburbs of Chicago, where she trained, competed, and assisted at Elite Academy of Dance. A founding member of their nationally ranked competition team, she earned numerous awards and was a finalist for Dancer of the Year in 2012. During high school, Lizz was also a dedicated member of her school’s dance team, serving as captain for two of her four years.
After high school, Lizz pursued a BFA in Fashion Design at Kent State University, where she continued to dance as a member, choreographer, and captain of their D1 dance team. Balancing academics with athletics, she also toured the country with Celebration Talent Competition, working as a staff member for regional and national competitions.
From 2021 to 2024, Lizz served as the Head Coach of the Manhattan College Dance Team, where she helped lead the team to 3rd, 4th, and 6th place finishes in the competitive D1 Hip Hop category at NDA Nationals. Under her leadership, the team also made its first-ever appearance in the D1 Jazz Finals, achieving their highest score in program history. In addition to her coaching role, Lizz has choreographed for studios, high schools, and colleges across the Midwest and East Coast. She is incredibly grateful to be back with DanceWorks New York City and is excited to bring her fifth DWNYC piece to life with co-choreographer Lindsey.
