Taylor Hogan
Taylor began her performance journey at the age of 3 at American Dance and Drama studio in Flushing, NY studying the iconic trio of ballet, tap, and jazz. Growing up, Taylor spent every morning watching MTV and VH1 learning the dances from pop and hip hop music videos to show her friends. At 8, she joined the world renowned TADA! Youth Theater where for the next ten years she participated in original musicals performed by the Resident Youth Ensemble and had the opportunity to be the dance captain for multiple shows. Taylor graduated from Frank Sinatra School of the Arts (the first graduating class of the beautiful building DWNYC uses!) as a drama major in 2010 and with a Bachelor’s of Science in Theatre with a Dance minor from SUNY Oneonta in 2014. Taylor then took a hard left away from the performance world and started a new career, knowing that she’d forever be searching for something to fill the void that was created.
Enter DanceWorks NYC. Taylor discovered DanceWorks in 2016 through supporting her friends who she had met at Oneonta. Taylor loved to support from the audience and after six years, Taylor (finally) decided to audition and found the space that not only filled the performance void, but had her overflowing with love, support, and a reignited passion for dance. Taylor cannot believe this is her seventh season of DWNYC and cannot wait to bring her choreography back to the DWNYC stage!
