Vanessa Escobedo grew up on Long Island, where she began dancing at the age of two and started competing at four years old. Her competitive career spanned various styles, including jazz, contemporary, hip hop, lyrical, and tap. In high school, Vanessa also excelled as part of her school’s kickline team, serving as captain during her junior and senior years, where she choreographed the team’s routines for competition at NDA Nationals.

Today, Vanessa shares her passion for dance by teaching at several studios across Long Island, helping young dancers refine their technique and explore styles such as acro, contemporary, and jazz. This past year, she was grateful to perform in the Anthology33 Showcase and the Young Choreographer’s Festival, further fueling her creative journey.

This marks Vanessa’s sixth season with DanceWorks NYC and her debut as a choreographer. She is thrilled to collaborate with such a talented group of dancers and bring her creative vision to life for audiences to enjoy!
